WELCOME TO THE HEART OF THE PÉRIGORD NOIR
Welcome to a magnificent setting where nature offers you an exceptional quality of life.
Welcome to a site dedicated to the magic of nature.
The 4.5 hectares of the JARDINS D'EAU offer a new place to stroll that will delight young and old, holidaymakers and schoolchildren alike. Their originality lies in the elements that make them up: a diversity of pools, calm waters, waterfalls, streams, lush vegetation provided by lotuses, an enchantment of colours and each more beautiful than the last. The varieties here come from America and Asia, and have adapted perfectly (staggered flowering from May to October).
NEW IN 2024: waterfalls in the Périgord!
Last winter, water has carved itself new paths to previously unexplored lands. On the southern slope of the gardens, large waterfalls were born to surprise and extend the visit.
The idea wasn't born yesterday: since day one of the Jardin d'Eau creation, the Bernard family, creators and owners, have been dreaming of elevating their inspirations by shaping waterfalls that would blend into the spirit of the place. It took nearly 25 years for structures to rise and offer a vertical and harmonious movement to the water, which, like everywhere else in the gardens, plays the leading role.
An original and playful scenography!
The author's inspiration is well known: the Monte Palace tropical garden in Madeira. Here in Carsac-Aillac, the setting is still somewhat raw; plants and water will quickly age it! Waterfalls and three new basins create an aesthetically pleasing movement as you discover this new 1.5-hectare space overlooking the "Rivière Espérance", beyond the bamboo mazes. The music of the water, the hues of the stone mingling with those of terrestrial and aquatic plants... but not only! The eyes of all young adventurers (and of the older ones who have kept their childlike soul) will sparkle: the tour path passes behind the water walls. How many will want to dip their hand in and let the spray refresh them?
Exotic and hardy varieties
Every year, nature submits to the force of the elements to follow the perpetual movement of the seasons. Trees fall, new varieties are introduced. Planted in full sun and facing it, many of them are Mediterranean and drought-resistant. No mean feat in times of global warming! Around the ponds, connoisseurs and neophytes alike will be able to recognize the generosity of the Fatsia in the shade of an oak, yield to the invitation to travel of an ornamental banana, be seduced by the rustling leaves of golden acacias, and finally lose themselves in the small world of the meadow...

MAGICAL WATER LILIES AND LOTUSES
The beauty of the flowers (up to 2m high!) and the hydrophobic leaves, on which the dewdrops turn into diamond pearls, are a magnificent sight. Don't miss the watering-can-shaped seed receptacles (the seeds retain their germinative power for 1,000 years!).
During your walk, you'll stroll through the land of the frogs, who seem to be enjoying a well-deserved siesta in the heart of the lotus leaves.
An incredible collection of water lilies and exotic water lilies! Les Jardins d'Eau invite you to discover 30 varieties of Lotuses and 55 of the most beautiful varieties of Water Lilies.

Our pride and joy: our exotic water lilies
These flowers have nothing to do with the common water lily you can see here and there. High on their stem, with pastel to violet-blue colours and marbled foliage, they flower over several months and if you put them in a sheltered spot in November, they will continue to flower until December.
UNIQUE IN EUROPE: OUR WATER MAZE!
Over 2800 m2 of water, with over 550 metres of water-level walkways, discover the aquatic fauna and flora with lotus flowers at human height: water games and dynamic water jets: manipulate the water jets as you please using the mobile app. A fun and educational trail with explanatory panels, featuring over 200 plants.
